I am looking at getting a new Apple Watch. I currently have a generation one that the screen is broken on. Can someone help me with understanding the differences between the generation three and the generation for. Are there things on the 4 that are just that much more necessary or helpful?

Hello,
The processor on the fourth gen watch is a dual core 64bit and the one on the third gen is a dual core 32bit. This makes the fourth gen much faster with voiceover. Also the fourth gen has fall detection and the built in ECG. The fourth gen also has a bigger screen which allows more complications on the faces.

When it comes to the Apple Watch I think you absolutely want to get the latest 4th generation watch, it will be more future proof and I don't think the $100 or whatever you might save is worth it to get the third gen.
