help help help got a new iPad can’t unlock it

Hi all,
I did not set Face ID up in my iPad when I first got it. I opted to set it up later in settings I press the lock button thinking that it would let me enter my passcode when I hit the unlock button but it just is locked and it won’t unlock can someone please tell me what to do? Slide up with one finger from the bottom of the screen until you hear or feel a vibration which I think is how you activate the home button when there isn't one. Then you should get the option to enter your passcode or whatever.
If that doesn't work and you do not get an answer quickly, call Apple Accessibility 877-204-3930

Hi,
The iPad will not have a vibration motor in it, but you should hear audible feedback from VoiceOver when you swipe up. That will get you to the passcode field.
