Orbit Reader List

Hi Everyone,
We have tried several times to get on the Orbit 20 reader list without success. We called APH and they said the problem might be with our mail server. We don’t think so, but, we were wondering if anyone else using Yahoo was able to get on the list. We have been able to get on every other list we have subscribed too.
We were wondering if anyone had any suggestions or thoughts about this problem.

hi,
I have tried more times than I can count to get on the orbit Rehder mailing list and have not been able to. Our use Yahoo, so we could be a possibility that it could be the server American printing House told me that they see the subscription names but they are blocked so that they cannot go through. What I mean by that is a PhD is the subscriptions, but then they won’t go any further so we can’t subscribe. They say that it’s blocked on our end.

Well..Problem solved! For those who are trying to join the orbit reader 20 email list..It is most definitly a server problem. Myself & others who have been unsuccessful in subscribing use Yahoo as our mail server.

I just confirmed that not being able to the orbit reader 20 email list is a yahoo server problem. I just subscribed with my iCloud email address & received a confirmation email in a few minutes.

Well..Problem solved! For those who are trying to join the orbit reader 20 email list..It is most definitly a server problem. Myself & others who have been unsuccessful in subscribing use Yahoo as our mail server.

Hi Everyone,
We have tried several times to get on the Orbit 20 reader list without success. We called APH and they said the problem might be with our mail server. We don’t think so, but, we were wondering if anyone else using Yahoo was able to get on the list. We have been able to get on every other list we have subscribed too.
We were wondering if anyone had any suggestions or thoughts about this problem.

I just confirmed that not being able to the orbit reader 20 email list is a yahoo server problem. I just subscribed with my iCloud email address & received a confirmation email in a few minutes.

I don’t think that this is a discussion of braille displays. I think this is a discussion of how to get on the list to get help.

I just subscribe to the list using my iCloud email address. If you have an iCloud address, or another word besides Yahoo, maybe you could subscribe. Perhaps if you wouldn’t mind sending me your email information I could subscribe you. I don’t know if that would work or not but I would be willing to give it a try.

PS this is not a flame. I think with the moderator meant was that there was a discussion about how to do things with braille displays. I think that’s with the moderator meant by stopping the thread about real the sleeves. Displays. This though, is different it’s trying to get on a mailing list.

Hi Maria,

I’m assuming that you want to know what happens if I sent an email to or20-***@tech.aph.org from my yahoo email? I tried that to subscribe & received no confirmation email. That is why I chose to subscribe using my iCloud email address. I know little about using JAWs on my computer. And know even less about trying to sort out the problem, if even possible, using my iPhone. Besides, my family is preparing to move to Colorado in less than a month. So I don’t have the time or patience to tackle the task of sorting the problem. I am new to using a braille display. So I’m just lurking & reading. After we are settled & life isn’t crazy I’ll try sorting out the yahoo email problem.

Hi Everyone,
We have tried several times to get on the Orbit 20 reader list without success. We called APH and they said the problem might be with our mail server. We don’t think so, but, we were wondering if anyone else using Yahoo was able to get on the list. We have been able to get on every other list we have subscribed too.
We were wondering if anyone had any suggestions or thoughts about this problem.

I sent 12 total subscription emails to or20-***@tech.aph.org. I checked all of my mail folders within the mail app on my phone. I also logged into Yahoo using Safari on my phone & checked all of my mail folders there, nothing. I sent a subscription email to or20-***@tech.aph.org & received a confirmation email within a couple minutes. So the problem is with the Yahoo server. This isn’t a new problem with the Yahoo server. There has been other times that this same problem has occurred when trying to subscribe to other email lists.

I just confirmed that not being able to the orbit reader 20 email list is a yahoo server problem. I just subscribed with my iCloud email address & received a confirmation email in a few minutes.

Well..Problem solved! For those who are trying to join the orbit reader 20 email list..It is most definitly a server problem. Myself & others who have been unsuccessful in subscribing use Yahoo as our mail server.
