Discussion:
Clearing notifications from multiple devices at the same time

I wonder if there is a setting somewhere that I am missing which would enable me to clear a notification from one device, and having done so, not see that notification on any other devices. It’s kind of annoying to have to make duplicate notification clear out. And since everything syncs in the cloud, I’m wondering why this is not possible. So I hope I’m just missing a Settings somewhere.

Hi Mary,

What kind of notification? My messages and calendar notifications seem to
all clear when I dismiss them from one device.

Hi Todd,
I get certain notifications on my active iPhone, and on my old iPhone which is now acting like an iPod. For instance, Amazon sends me notifications. And there are a couple of other apps that I have set to give me notifications. There are certain apps that only give me notifications on one device. And of course I expect to have to delete those. But if I get the same notification on both devices from a given app, such as Amazon, I would like to be able to blast at once and not have to do it again on the other device.

Hi,
I think the only way to do this would be to disable notifications for individual apps on your second device. As far as I am aware the means to do that which you wish doesn’t yet exist.
You could go to
https://www.apple.com/feedback/
and suggest it as a future feature under efficiency or productivity for your given device though.
Take good care.

My guess is that the only apps that work this way are those that are
