Is there an easy way or trick to go from an amazon product page in Safari to that product in the amazon app? I would prefer to place my order from the amazon app.

Thanks,
Christina

Maybe you could add the item to your wish list in Safari, then buy it from the app by pulling up your wish list.

Why can't you buy digital music from Amazon using your device? What would be the difference between buying a physical item and vine digital music? Or Kindle books which are also digital? That is all done through Safari on your phone or iPad.

Ari,

I do recall once finding a link to open the amazon app in the past but I can’t seem to find it anymore. Can you give me a hint? :)

As far as I know, I can buy anything from the amazon app except for kindle books. I didn’t know about the music but that makes some sense I guess. I guess it’s because apple sells music and books. I know I can purchase kindle books from the amazon mobile website via Safari on my iPhone but not through the app. However, when I want to buy anything else, I just find using the amazon app more convenient. I’m just more comfortable with it for some reason. :)

I've actually only come across this link on accident, so I'm not entirely sure where it is. My guess is that it's somewhere near the top of the page.

You're correct. Kindle content and digital music can't be purchased using the Amazon app. I think this also extends to downloadable software. I think you can add these types of items to your wishlist from the app, however.

Thanks,
Ari

The latest thing I can't buy from the app are some recently added Kindle
books. It use to be that I could add Kindle books to my wish list from the
app, then go to Amazon with Safari and buy them. The first time it told me
this book can not be purchased from this device, I thought it meant that I
couldn't even read the book with the Kindle app on my phone. No, I just had
to go to Amazon via Safari to buy it.

Unless Something has changed, you cannot buy anything from the Amazon
app. The best you can do is add it to your wish list there and then buy
it from a web browser.

Maybe you could add the item to your wish list in Safari, then buy it
from the app by pulling up your wish list.

Is there an easy way or trick to go from an amazon product page in
Safari to that product in the amazon app? I would prefer to place my
order from the amazon app.
Thanks,

This is one reason I love having a Windows computer, I can add to wish list on a device and the use the computer to buy and transfer.
I nearly bought a MAC about 20 months ago but knew that if I were to work from home I'd need Windows. Now getting a MAC will have to wait.

Not sure if I completely understand what you are saying but you can also add an item to your wish list via an apple iDevice then go to your Mac and easily make your purchase. However, when I am not home and want to make a amazon purchase via my iPhone, I just prefer to use the amazon app and just wanted a quick and easy way to switch from the Safari amazon mobile product page to the same product page in the amazon app. next time I will look even closer for that link to open the amazon app for my non music and kindle purchases. I did figure out that if I go to the amazon app and go to recently viewed the product I was just looking at in Safari was right there. :)

I do use Windows sometimes, but it seems that I use my iPhone 6 to do a lot,
perhaps most, of my business with Amazon now. I use the app, when it will
let me purchase what I am wanting to purchase, because I find it to be more
convenient. But feel equally comfortable using Safari to purchase things,
too.
